stopped in - large menu for espresso drinks, a bit overwhelming. went with a cortado for my first visit, the espresso was ok but on the bitter side. the strawberry pastry I had helped offset a bit, and itself was delicious - flaky, thin, not overly sweet.

one of my new fav coffee shops in the city!! love that they have so many specialty drinks that i could get something different every time but a personal fave is the Hojicha! not super sweet but is perfect for a little pick me up. the Umami Bomb toast is soooo good! the bread is a thick piece of sourdough bread that was super soft, and the truffle and furikake on top made it a great savory treat. Can make it veg by removing the salmon roe! they have wifi and outlets so a great place to come and work from, or even read/paint from.

A friend and I stopped by SPRO on our way to Mission Dolores Park; we'd just picked up pastries and were in the mood for a fancy coffee to pair with them. While there are many coffee shops in the area, SPRO's menu of unique tea and espresso beverages stood out. The unique beverage names require you to read the full ingredient list, and I'll admit that I had to use my imagination to figure out which flavor combinations I would enjoy. I eventually decided upon the Spice Islands, which I was expecting to taste like a Mexican mocha. The first sip of Spice Islands was much sweeter than I expected, and while the combination of spices was well-balanced, there was a notable lack of "heat" that I was expecting. That being said, I still enjoyed my decadent drink and am intrigued by their menu to try their other beverages and food items.

Love the island hop latte! I ordered online and picked it up. The latte was definitely one of my favorite ever but I was a little disappointed in the muffin. The blueberry made the muffin soggy and not as flavorful. Overall would come back for the coffee and the staff here are really sweet, so it made the experience even better!
